About the project

THE FOCUS – The UCOILD project focuses on Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) as a method where technology facilitates international student collaboration to provide critical content-, intercultural- and digital learning.

THE FIELD – The project unfolds its work within the fields of pedagogy, social and early childhood studies. These fields are currently less inclined to work with COIL projects, and to use international study programs. Therefore COIL projects bear a strong potential for including international perspectives and engaging students with the world.

THE GOAL – The UCOILD project goal is to develop didactical and pedagogical tools and examples to support and make it easier to realize COIL projects. The project aims at supporting Higher Education teachers in the endeavor of facilitating professional, intercultural, and digital learning goals simultaneously.
